GOSPEL OF ST. MATTHEW.( chapter 17, verses 1 to 9.)

"This is my beloved Son, whom I love. Listen to what He says "

JESUS, the Master of all teachers, "taking Peter, the brothers James and John, and took them to a place on a high mountain. And he was transfigured before them: his face shone like the sun, and his clothes were as white as the light.

Moses and Elijah appeared to them in conversation with Jesus. Then Peter took the floor and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, I'll make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah. " Peter was still speaking, when a bright cloud covered them with his shadow, and out of the cloud came a voice saying, "This is my beloved Son, which I delight. Listen to what he says. "

When they heard this, the disciples were very frightened, and fell on their faces. Jesus came and touched them and said, "Stand up, and do not be afraid. The disciples looked up, and saw no one but Jesus. When they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Do not tell anyone this vision until the Son of Man has risen from the dead."

Notice clearly that JESUS proceeded to a prefiguration of his Resurrection. I wonder how the disciples reacted, astonished, astonished, before that glorious and enlightened image of the Master!

Peter thought as a man. I was thinking of the easy one. Let's stay here Master. Let's build our tent right here. Undoubtedly, the "record" had not yet fallen, that Jesus would suffer greatly, die on the cross and be resurrected!
Peter wanted to stay in the comfort zone. He had no idea what would happen to the Master as well as to his disciples.

Reporting to the present day, is not it exactly what happens to us Christians? By our flesh, we are always thinking of the easiest, the most comfortable, and we forget that following JESUS is an arduous, difficult, thorny task. He promised us NO SEA OF ROSES IN THIS WORLD! But courage, I have conquered the world!

Being a Christian is easy; The difficult thing is to BE A DISCIPLE !. Being a disciple implies in embodying the Master's knowledge and, through action, in reminding us to the transformation of our lives.

FAITH, ACTION AND TRANSFORMATION, this is the way to truly follow the footsteps of Jesus!

The disciples were not yet aware of the importance of their mission. For this reason, Jesus later sends them the Holy Spirit, Paraclete, so that they may remember all his teachings.

His Church is commanded by the Holy Spirit of God, so the gates of hell will NEVER prevail against it!

My brothers and sisters, let us transfigure our lives through the teachings of Master JESUS. Let us turn our hearts to all that He has left us. Forgiveness and reconciliation are the key to the conscious Christian! Without forgiveness, no one enters the Kingdom of Heaven.

Example: Love one another as I have loved you! Whatever you want others to do to you, do to them!
Through the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist, we feel strong, ready to face the day-to-day battle!
A happy and holy Sunday to all! God bless you always! Grace and Peace in your hearts.

                              GOD RESIST TO THE WARM!
