(Gospel of Luke 10: 38-42)"At that time, Jesus came to a village, and a woman, Marta name, received him at his home. Her sister called Mary, sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his word. Marta, however, was busy with many tasks.
She came up and said, "Lord, do not that my sister has left me alone you with all the service? ! Tells her to come help me " Lord, however, answered:" Martha, Martha! You are worried and andas you busy for many things. But, one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken away from her. "
A. BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION: This Gospel refers us to an analysis of vocations raised by God among the people.
Marta is a practical woman who was worried about the food in order to please the Master and got a good deal of jealousy of her Sister Mary, who spoke to the Master Jesus.
Mary is the contemplative vocation. I liked to listen to the wise preachings of Jesus and, therefore, chose the best part, as says the master. Stresses point out that both vocations has its value. However, the word of God, should be the first concern in our lives. That is, the Master makes clear in praising Mary.
We must discern. At that moment, listening to Jesus was the most important thing. Not that Mary also did not do things that Martha was doing. However, it is imperative to have the good sense: and Mary was able to discern better than Marta.
The central idea of the text is the HOSPITALITY !. Jesus was welcomed by the two sisters and this is the most important. One thing complements the other: it was also necessary that someone prepare the food for Jesus. On the other hand, it was also important that someone "made room for the Master Jesus," giving it due attention, above all, his teachings.

Search read, meditate and practice his word? Or are you more concerned about your job, your profession, your business or even in accumulating things, material goods?We arrived a moment in life where we have to choose: God and his Kingdom or accumulate assets, cultivate false values. Let us not forget, however, that life is about making choices !.
Let us choose the goods that do not pass !. Those values that bring us peace, serenity, balance and love in your heart! We choose Jesus as our Lord and Master !.
