Proclamation of the Gospel (Mk 7,1-8.14-15.21-23)

"At that time, 1st Pharisees and teachers of the law came from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus. 2.They saw that some of his disciples eat bread with unclean hands, that is, without having washed. 3. Indeed , the Pharisees and all the Jews eat only after you wash your hands, following the tradition received from the ancients. 4. To return to  the square, they do not eat without bathing. And they follow many other customs that received by tradition: the right way to wash cups, pitchers and copper vessels.

5.The pharisees and the scribes asked then to Jesus, "Why do your disciples not follow the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"6. Jesus replied, "Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7. not use the service providing me, for the doctrines they teach are human precepts. ' 8. You forsake the commandment of God to follow the traditions of men."

14. Then Jesus called the crowd near you and said, "Listen, everyone, and understand: 15 What makes a man unclean is not what goes into it from the outside, but what comes out of his belly. 21. It is within the human heart that come evil intentions, immoralities, thefts, murders, adulteries 22, unreasonable ambitions, mischief, fraud, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, lack of judgment. 23.All these evil things come from within, and they are what make a man unclean. "

                           -------------------------------------------------------

MR BIGCUORE´S REFLECTION: Jesus is strongly questioned by the Pharisees and teachers of the law, about the fact that his disciples not follow the tradition of the elders.Jesus, in his immense Wisdom, will the essence of the matter and not in the periphery and perplexing the Pharisees to tell them that the most important is what comes out of the heart and not what enters because that infects humans. To Jesus the heart is the source of good and evil. His philosophy is essentially based on the heart and not so much on reason. Of course, he also made use of reason, but their priority is the Human Heart.

Because, he says, provide heart: adultery, envy, jealousy, drunkenness, orgies, betrayals, political corruption, pride, slander, theft, murder, etc. Now that's what makes the human being unclean and not the fact that his disciples not follow the traditions of old.Hypocrites says the master !. About you already well proteziou the Prophet Isaiah ... "that people praise me only with his lips. Their hearts are far from me. "

While man does not CONVERT their hearts to God, there will be no lasting peace on earth. It, (land) unfortunately is desecrated by millions of abortions that are done every year on the planet; the dissemination and use of drugs; political corruption and others, which subtract from the public purse billions and billions of dollars, which could be very well applied in public health and education areas !!!

GROUP TO REFLECT: How do I, as a Christian, I act in my work, school, church, finally, in my community? As Jesus would do in this situation?

Am I letting me take the evil inclinations of the heart? (Acting, so selfishly?)

Is my religion  ritualistic or is based on good feelings taught by the Master?

Am I exercising my CITIZENSHIP effectively?A happy and holy Sunday to all (the)! Grace and Peace in your hearts!
